has hired current offensive coordinator Mike Locksley as its new head football coach, the school announced Tuesday. Lo been named new coach of AS Roma.Roma have coughed up compensation to Shakhtar Donetsk to bring the Portuguese to Italy.Fonseca has agreed a two-year contract with the option for another 12 months. He succeeds Claudio Ranieri, who stepped down at thecksley will take over for Matt Canada, who served as the interim coach of the Terrapins during the 2018 season after D.J. Durkin’s suspension and termination.

“I am thrilled to be returning home and to have the opportunity to lead the Maryland Football program,” said Locksley. “This has always been a special place for me and my family, and I am honored to take on this role at the state’s flagship institution. Our goal is to create an atmosphere and environment focused on the total development of our student-athletes. Our focus will always be to help them become more successful in all areas of their life through their association with our program. I have been tremendously impressed at how the team came together through a difficult season and honored their fallen teammate, Jordan [McNair]. We are all in this together, and I look forward to rejoining the Maryland family. Thank you to [athletic director] Damon Evans, President [Wallace] Loh and the entire Terrapin community for this opportunity.”

Locksley’s first year as the Crimson Tide offensive coordinator has been outstanding. The top-ranked Alabama offense is averaging 527.6 yards per game — which would obliterate the single-season school record for total offense (484.5 YPG in 2014). Under his guidance, quarterback earned an invitation to New York as a finalist for the Heisman Trophy, four receivers have gained more than 600 yards receiving and the Crimson Tide have averaged 7.92 yards per play — the second-best mark in the nation. He was recently named the 2018 winner of the Broyles Award, given to the top assistant coach in .

“As we narrowed the search for the individual best suited to lead our program, Michael not only stood out for his talent as a coach, but most importantly for the role he has played as a mentor to student-athletes throughout his career and his deep commitment to helping them grow into leaders on and off the field,” said athletic director Damon Evans. “On the field, Michael orchestrated one of the country’s most prolific offenses at the University of Alabama and has long been regarded for his recruiting prowess. Today he was recognized as the nation’s top assistant coach in the country, and I’m excited for him to be leading our program.”

It is a homecoming of sorts for Locksley. He was the offensive coordinator of the Terrapins from 2012-15 under Randy Edsalltension.Following the news that Tim Krul signed a new contract, the Norwich Evening News suggests that Vrancic could be next. The 30-year-old was a key player for the team as they earned promotion, scoring 10 goals and managing seven assists in the Ch, and served as the interim coach after Edsall was fired midway through the 2015 season. Prior to Maryland, he spent two-and-a-half seasons as the coach at where he went 2-26. A former defensive back at Towson State in Towson, Maryland, Locksley grew up in nearby Washington, D.C.

He will take over a program that had an emotional 2018 season. Terrapins offensive lineman passed away in June after suffering from heatstroke during a team workout in May. That set off an investigation into the culture within the program that led to Durkin’s suspension ans according to Record, which reports United are offering £57m for the Portugal international ahead of the January market.Sporting are need of a quick sale to balance books and are now prepared to cash in on Fernandes. The midfielder, 25, has played 1d eventual dismissal from the program. Canada’s Terrapins went 5-7, but did beat in Week 1 and was a two-point conversion away from upsetting on Nov. 17.

that Locksley will stay on as the offensive coordinator of Alabama through its College Football Playoff run.

SEC Championship Game: Coordinators from Alabama and Georgia could be leaving for head coaching jobs

The SEC Championship Game between No. 1 and No. 4 could be the last game for a pair of high-ranking assistant coaches on both sidelines. are reporting that Crimson Tide offensive coordinator Mike Locksley and Bulldogs defensive coordinator Mel Tucker are front-runners for the vacancies at and , respectively.

Dan Wolken of USA Today writes that while Tucker has been targeted by Colorado, a deal “has not been finalized.” Furthermore, Locksley is expected to speak with Maryland over the weekend to wrap things up.

Locksley is well-connected at Maryland, having served as an assistant there from 1997-2002, and again from 2012-15. He also briefly served as the Terps’ interim coach in ’15 when coach Randy Edsall was fired. He is particularly well-known for having strong recruiting ties to the Washington D.C. area.

Locksley was coach from 2009-2011 and amassed a mere 2-26 record. His time at UNM was also marred by multiple controversies, including a brief suspension for getting into an altercation with an assistant. However, he’s played a pivotal role in Alabama’s emergence as an offensive powerhouse. With Heisman Trophy frontrunner at quarterback, the Tide are seconster United and Arsenal had scouts in Spain last week.Record says both clubs had scouts in attendance in Gran Canaria last week to watch the Tenerife Tournament. The four-day event was being used by Under-23 teams from Brazil, Argentina, Chile and thed in the nation in points per game and yards per play.

Tucker has more of a background, having spent a decade in the league from 2005-2014 as a defensive assistant with the , and . However, he returned to college to coach Alabama’s defensive backs in 2015. gning LA Galaxy star Zlatan Ibrahimovic.Ibrahimovic told Gazzetta dello Sport that he would love an experience at Napoli, especially as he already worked with Ancelotti. After victory over Hellas Verona, Ancelotti joked: “I’ll call him tonight and sHe followed then-Alabama defensive coordinator Kirby Smart to Georgia to win Liverpool’s “soft” matchwinning penalty.Marc Albrighton made contact with Mane in stoppage time but the Reds forward threw himself dramatically to the turf.James Milner converted the spot-kick but Foxes scorer Maddison fumed: “It was very s where he was promoted to run the Bulldogs’ defense. Georgia has posted a top-10 scoring defense in each of the past two seasons under Tucker.

Colorado fired coach Mike MacIntyre in November after six straight losses to fall to 5-6. The Buffaloes finished 5-7 on the year and had five losing seasons in six years under MacIntyre, the lone exception being an unexpected 10-4 effort in 2016. Maryland, which is interim coach Matt Canada and passing game coordinator Pep Hamilton, parted ways with D.J. Durkin midway through the season following multiple scandals into the culture of the program that included the offseason passing of offensive lineman .

No. 1 Alabama and No. 4 Georgia will square off Saturday afternoon in the same buildi16 with his country. The Dutch midfielder was not able to play at that tournament, or the 2018 World Cup, as his nation did not qualify. But it appears the Netherlands are ready to end their exile from the major international tournaments with Euro 2020ng where the Crimson Tide walked off with a national championship over Georgia in overtime just 11 months ago. This time, the SEC title will be on the line in an SEC Championship Game that essentially serves as a national quarterfinal leading into the Playoff.

Crimson Tide quarterback Tua Tagovailoa came off the bench in that title game, throwing three touchdowns in the second half and overtime; now he’s back leading a team that’s loaded with offensive weapons. Bulldogs quarterback Jake Fromm is no slouch either, and he has enough playmakers at his disposal to keep the Tide defense honest.

Here’s how you can watch and stream the 2018 SEC Championship Game on Saturday afternoon.

College football schedule, games 2018: What to watch in Week 11, TV channels, kickoff times

For the first time this season, college football’s finish line is in sight. It comes quickly, and now games are starting to accumulate even more meaning. Week 11 may not have the “Separation Saturday” vibe that Week 10 did, but there are a few interesting point spreads out there that could make things exciting.

Ohio State, for instance, is only favored over Michigan State by a few points, and the Big Ten East race is potentially at stake. Washington State and Kentucky are two highly-ranked teams that are just single-digit favorites on the road. Some divisional races could become much clearer by the end of Saturday, too, with Clemson facing an upset-minded Boston College. There’s a lot to get to this weekend, so get your day planned with this week’s viewer’s guide.

All times Eastern

The biggest games

This is a super interesting Mountain West game all by itself, so tune in if you’re not doing anything. Boise State hasn’t closed as a home underdog since 2001, and the Broncos are still a 2.5-point dog as of Friday afternoon. Fresno State is finally ranked, but has quietly been one of ‘s more impressive teams. This one should be a lot of fun.

since being named the full-time starter. Vegas loves the Tigers as a nearly three-touchdown favorite, but will Steve Addazio’s DUDES have something to say about that?

Other big games

South Carolina coach Will Muschamp returns to his former stomping grounds (or is it “chomping grounds”?) to take on a Florida team that’s reeling from two straight blowout losses. Gators coach Dan Mullen has his work cut out for him trying to kick-start this offense, though the primary responsibility at quarterback to make that happen may fall on the shoulders of Feleipe Franks, with rrned rivals should fear Manchester City following their Community Shield triumph on Sunday.Pep Guardiola’s side kicked off the season with a penalty shootout win over Liverpool after the game finished 1-1.And Ferdinand has heaped praise on the squad eports surfacing that backup Kyle Trask suffered an injury in practice earlier this week.

The Cougars have been flirting with a letdown lately. They nearly gave away a cushy first-half lead to Oregon, rallied to beat Stanford by three points and survived Cal via a late touchdown. This line opened at -4.5 for Wazzu before rising to -6. Colorado’s on a four-game slide, but keep an eye on this one. Even with a win here, Washington State isn’t out of the woods yet, with a surging Arizona and Washington to end the regular season.

Northwestern, which is not ranked but leads the Big Ten West, has a critical divisional game at Iowa, which is two games behind in conference play but is ranked. With just a few weeks to go, I’m 100 percent here for the Big Ten West going full ACC Coastal.

Speaking of which, the winner of this game has the clearest path for the right to get smacked around by Clemson (probably) in the ACC Championship Game. It’s a big game, but in name only. Watanye insists he leaves Liverpool on good terms. The 20-year-old winger’s contract with the Reds expires this summer and he’s understood to have agreed a four-year deal with the Serie A outfit.“Four years ago when I arrived at Liverpool I was still ach at your own risk.

Don’t forget about Iowa State in the Big 12 Championship Game race. The Cyclones are on a four-game winning streak and have the head-to-head win over West Virginia should it come down to that. A win over the Bears on Saturday likely sets up a fascinating Week 12 in which the Cyclones play at Texas while West Virginia plays at Oklahoma State.

Georgia has already locked up the SEC East, and the only question now is whether it can keep pace in the playoff race. The SEC Championship Game vs. Alabama will likely decide who gets in, but only if both teams take care of their business in the weeks leading up to it. Recall, too, that this was Georgia’s major letdown game in Auburn a year ago.

Texas isn’t completely out of the Big 12 Championship Game race yet, but it r United boss Sir Alex Ferguson reportedly had a heated exchange with vice-chairman Ed Woodward before yesterday’s 3-3 draw at Sheffield United.United went two goals behind at Bramall Lane before a brilliant comeback – but then saw Oli McBurnie scoreneeds a win to at least stay there. Tom Herman’s team is banged up, and perhaps emotionally reeling after a heartbreaking loss to West Virginia. With Iowa State next week, the season could get out of hand quickly. The Horns are only a 1.5-point favorite, and Tech would like a nice conference win after coming up short vs. Oklahoma.

The real story here is that Notre Dame will reportedly be without starting quarterback Ian Book, who . Week 1 starter Brandon Wimbush will play in Book’s absence. Amazingly, it may not matter against Florida State, but may matter next week against No. 13 Syracuse. What a time to be alive.

Texas A&M vs. Ole Miss score: Jimbo Fisher proves that the future is bright for the Aggies

content_img

Jimbo Fisher’s 10-year, $75 million paycheck requires him to not only make competitive, but make it a national champion. For that to happen, though, the Aggies need to take baby steps — something that has happened throughout the season.

They rattled off 17 points in the final quarter on Saturday afternoon against to notch a 38-24 home win, earn bowl eligibility and ensure at least a .500 record in conference play. That might not seem like much. In fact, it appears to be very Kevin Sumlin-ish on paper.

If you take a closer look at how those six wins happened, though, you’ll see why there’s reason for optimism in College Station.

Saturday afternoon’s win was a shootout in which Aggies quarterback threw for 236 yards and three touchdowns while Rebels quarterback threw for 375 yards, and both offenses trick Kluivert is delighted seeing Frenkie de Jong make the impact he has.Like Kluivert, De Jong came through the system at Ajax before joining Barca this season.”Did Barça ask me about Frenkie De Jong? I said that he could bring a lot to the team ablew past the 400-yard mark. The flip side was the overtime win over No. 11 Kentucky on Oct. 6 in which the defense held the Wildcats to just 3.56 yards per play and didn’t allow them to run a play in Aggie territory until they had to, by rule, in overtime. Throw in a two-point loss to No. 2 Clemson in Week 2, and you have a squad that not only stays relevant virtually every week, but is capable of doing it in different ways.

The only game that the Aggies didn’t have a chance in was against No. 1 Alabama on Sept. 22 when they lost 45-23. But the Aggies put up the biggest challenge to the mighty Crimson Tide despite the 22-point loss so far this year.

Fisher’s first campaign in College Station hasn’t always been smooth. They beat Auburn last week in virtually every aspect besides on the scoreboard, when the Tigers offense finally remembered to show up during the final seven minutes. The loss to Mississippi State the previous week wasn’t great either, but Starkville is a tough place to play and they were only down one heading into the final frame.

If nothing else, Fisher has instilled a toughness and attitude that wasn’t present during the last few years of the Sumlin era. That’s the foundation that Texas A&M needs to become a contender in the SEC West. Could it happen next yes his AFCON campaign is over.Ivory Coast captain Aurier fears his Africa Cup of Nations may be over after being forced to leave the field during Friday’s 1-0 defeat to Morocco.e of the League Two club.McCall, who has signed a contract until the end of the 2020-21 season, said: “It is always difficult taking over from a manager who has lost his job, so I feel for Gary (Bowyer). Don’t count the Aggies out — especially with a full offseason for Fisher to put a bigger stamp on the program.

The weather has cooled as November is upon us, but the temperature of college football has been cranked up to white hot. It all starts in Week 10, where we have two top-10 matchups, a Big 12 showdown that could serve as an elimination game for the conference championship and several other big games from around the country.

Let’s get you ready for “Separation Saturday”with a guide to the day’s biggest games.

All times eastern

The biggest games

How crazy is it that the game that will decide the SEC East title will take place in Lexington, Kentucky, and that the Wildcats could win it? Yet, here we are, with the blue and white hosting defending SEC champion Georgia with a trip to Atlanta on the line. Fromuit Tottenham and is now training with Thierry Henry’s Montreal Impact in Canada, says the Daily Mail.Jose Mourinho tried to intervene when he heard that Binks had grown frustrated with what he believed to be a lack of a pathway to the first team at a talent perspective, this is no contest. The Bulldogs have the edge there, but this is one of the biggest games in Kentucky football history, which will be a huge factor.

The Mountaineers and Longhorns both have a Big 12 loss on their resumes, and might not be able to afford another. Texas was stunned last week at Oklahoma State, and Dana Holgorsen’s crew has had a few extra days to prepare after shellacking Baylor last Thursday. This game will have a huge impact on the final month of wild and crazy Big 12 football.

The Wolverines revenge tour will continue Saturday afternoon in the Big House against a Nittany Lions team that rolled in this Big Ten East showdown 42-13 a year ago. This isn’t an elimination game in the Big Ten for Jim Harbaugh’s Wolverines, but the Notre Dame loss coupled with a loss to the Nittany Lions here would make it very hard to for them stay in the Playoff race.

The biggest game of the 2018 season will take place Saturday night in Death Valley. Alabama can claim the SEC West title with a win, while LSU can take the lead in the division race and shakeup the entire college football world by springing the upset. You won’t need your remote at 8 p.m. Lock it in on CBS, sit back and enjoy the ride.

Other big games

This won’t be a tight game at all, but watching what Clemson actually is will be a lot of fun. The Tigers have looked like they’re evolving into a legit threat to Alabama lately, and judging that progress against a bad Louisville team will at least be somewhat intriguing. Plus, this could be the nail in the coffin to the Bobby Petrino era with the Cardinals.

Scott Frost and the Cornhuskers have won two straight and face a Buckeyes defense that hasn’t exactly lived up to the hype. Could an upset be in store? Probably not. But Ohio State still has national title hopes, and a slip up will be devastating.

This doesn’t exactly move the meter on the surface, but take a look if you can. The Hokies only have one ACC loss, have had two extra days to prepare and are tied with Virginia and Pitt atop the Coastal division standings. Meanwhile, the Eagles are one game behind Clemson in the Atlantic and host the Tigers next week.

It’ll be a big day in West Lafayette in what amounts to a Big Ten West eliminator. The winner of this will emerge as the primary challenger to Northwestern, even though the Boilermakers do have more of an uphill battle in the division thanks to the head-to-head loss to the Wildcats. Iowa’s defense vs. Purdue’s offense will be well worth the price of admission.

The Pac-12 South is a convoluted mess with Utah being the only team with two conference losses and every other team with three. A win by the Utes will be enormous in the race for the division title, and a Sun Devils upset would muck up the South more than a pig in the mud. Plus, watching Utah running back Zack Moss is a treat every week.

Is this a trap for Notre Dame? Maybe. Northwestern is one of the toughest teams remaining on the schedule, and has a pro-caliber quarterback in Clayton Thorson, who is averaging 259 yards per game. Watching the matchup between Thorson and the Fighting Irish defense will be fun, and the CFP ramifications for Brian Kelly’s crew are enormous.

The Kyler Murray show hits Lubbock this weekend in a game that can set the tone for the Sooners’ stretch run. If the defense can shut down the nation’s seventh-best offense, it could mean that rumors of Oklahoma’s demise were greatly exaggerated.

The Bears boast one of the best denzema has agreed terms over a new deal with Real Madrid.Marca reports Benzema will be a Real Madrid player until at least 2022 after the French striker reached an agreement with the club. The deal willhn Terry at Aston Villa. The former England skipper was one of the reasons Mings chose to ditch his frustrations at Bournemouth and give his career a crucial shot in the arm.He admits the move will have proved to be just perfect if Aston Villa clamber be officially signed in the summer and extends hefenses in the Pac-12, and the Gardner Minshew show on the Palouse has been can’t miss television every week. It’s a must win for the Cougars if they want to maintain their faint CFP hopes.

How to watch No. 2 Mater Dei vs. No. 5 IMG Academy: Top prospects, game preview

content_img

IMG Academy is a factory for college football prospects, and its 40-game win streak makes it clear that the Ascenders (3-0) are benefiting from their pool of talent on the field this season.

On Friday night, however, they may very well meet their match.

Absurd as it sounds for a team with 25 different juniors and seniors who are deemed at least three-star recruits, IMG Academy hardly has an edge over the Mater Dei Monarchs, who will host a Friday showdown at Santa Ana Stadium in California. The Monarchs, who are defending national champions,  and No. 3 in the nation, have 21 of their own three-, four- and five-star recruits just in their junior and senior class, making their anticipated battle with IMG perhaps the country’s largest showcase of top college prospects of 2018.

Led by dual-threat quarterback and USC commit Bryce Young, Mater Dei has cruised to a 3-1 start this year, and the Monarchs’ only loss was actually a 42-14 win over Bishop Amat — a victory forfeited after the team self-reported using an ineligible player, whose participation may have been overlooked, per MaxPreps, amid “upwards of 20 players” transferring into the program before the season. Mater Dei’s last outing was a 56-0 rout of St. Mary’s, in which Young completed every one of his passes and fed nationally heralded receiving prospect Bru McCoy for 186 yards.

IMG, meanwhile, is undefeated on the year after topping Liberty (Nevada) as part of the Polynesian Football Classic on Sept. 7. Through three games, the Ascenders have outscored opponents 126-14, and they’ll enter their showdown with Mater Dei on extra days’ rest since their game against sixth-ranked St. John’s (Washington, D.C.) was canceled due toJavier Pastore. Now with Roma, Pastore’s beginnings in Europe could not have been worse.Former Argentine striker Da Fonseca recalled: “I’m going to tell you a story: I brought Javier Pastore to Saint-Etienne at 17 years old. “He was fired after three Hurricane Florence.

Former five-star wide receiver Demetris Robertson announces transfer from Cal

Pac-12 Media Day 2018: Five storylines that will draw headlines in Los Angeles

content_img

LOS ANGELES — If the SEC Media Days are too long (four days), the Pac-12’s media day is too short. It all goes down Wednesday in L.A.

The public and media deserve better from a league that is increasingly becoming marginalized in the national picture. At least give us another day to digest it all.

There is plenty to write about from the Left Coast. There are five new coaches — two of them making their college debut. Thr or more goals in no fewer than six matches, but there is no doubt which result grabs all the headlines. Norwich City’s 3-2 win against the champions Manchester City was extraordinary and richly deserved; Daniel Farke’s side were outstanding on and ere is the usual collection of strong-armed quarterbacks. Defending Pac-12 champion USC may have a true freshman (J.T. Daniels) behind center.

Elsewhere, here are five storylines to watch from the Pac-12 media day this week live from Hollywood.

It needs work, and frankly, . It would be nice if the league got back into the Playoff. Each team in the league lost at least three games last season. That has to change. Some notable nonconference wins would help. Pay attention to these September matchups:

Aug. 31: San Diego State at StanfordSept. 1: Auburn vs. Washington (Atlanta)Sept. 8: Michigan State at Arizona StateSept. 8: Colorado at NebraskaSept. 8: UCLA at OklahomaSept. 15: USC at Texas

It’s Washington. The moment it was determined that quarterback Jake Browning, running back Myles Gaskin, offensive tackle Trey Adams and defensive lineman Greg Gaines were coming back, the Huskies had to be favored for a second Pac-12 titles in three years. Before those four key players declared, the entire secondary was returning. That group gave up only 10 touchdown passes. The Huskies will start the season in the top 10. They have to beat Auburn in the opener and essentially go undefeated to assure their playoff spot. It’s possible.

Coach Chris Petersen is the nation’s No. 4 winningest active coach. He long ago proved he can win at a high level in Power Five. Since arriving at Washington, he has won almost 70 percent of his games, won a Pac-12 title and taken the Huskies to the CFP. With 15 starters returning, the Pac-12 is Washington’s to lose this season.

As mentioned, five Pac-12 schools changed coaches. Edwards’ arrival at Arizona State is the most curious. To say that Edwards was an out-of-the-box choice is an understatement. The former Jets/Chiefs coach and ex-ESPN analyst hasn’t coached in the in 11 years and never been a college head coach. Yup, his boss (athletic director Ray Anderson) is also is former agent. Yup, we have no idea how Edwards is going to react down by seven in the red zone with 30 seconds to with Jurgen Klopp. The pair were involved in an animated spat after Napoli’s first goal during Sunday’s 3-0 defeat at Murrayfield. But Netherlands international van Dijk insists such communication is necessary for success.Van Dijk said: “Just things play. Yup, it’s going to be damn entertaining.

UCLA’s Chip Kelly has given precious few interviews outside practice updates since being hired in November. That has frustrated more than a few journos who want to dig down on what was . Not me. The coach making his college reentry in a familiar conference will be one of the most popular interview subjects this week.

The conference’s (and perhaps the nation’s) best player will not be at media day. Stanford’s Bryce Love has summer school classes that he can’t get miss. We all get Stanford’s commitment to academics. We also get that Love is set to graduate in December, wants to be a pediatrician and school comes first. But what professor wouldn’t give Love an afternoon off to fly to L.A. to promote the school, hipresident Angel Torres admits they’re interested in Barcelona midfielder Carles Alena.Alena is expected to leave Barca in January – and Torres admits Getafe are keen.”If Aleña’s transfer comes off, it would be phenomenal,” he admitted. “If it is up mself and the football program?

If you’re looking for a solid No. 2 Heisman Trophy candidate from the Pac-12, pay attention to Arizona quarterback Khalil Tate. Despite not getting regular playing time until October, Tate ran for more yards (1,411) than 14 teams. In separate games, Tate ran for 327 yards and threw for five touchdowns, all of at least 20 yards. His passing will be refined under Kevin Sumlin, who inherits a unit that led the conference in scoring and total offense.

For the third consecutive season, Alabama leads off the preseason edition of the CBS Sports 129 in the No. 1 spot. These cololves goalkeeper Rui Patricio was delighted to break Portugal’s record appearance record for a goalkeeper. Patricio won his 81st cap in the Nations League final win over the Netherlands.”It’s a source of pride because I’m representing my country,” Palege football rankings, which compile ballots from experts at CBS Sports and 247Sports to rank every FBS team in the country, allow us to step back and look at the sport’s entire landscape as teams jockey for position both inside and outside the top 25 spots.

While Alabama sits in its familiar spot at the top, they were not a unanimous No. 1 in our balloting. They are followed by Clemson, Georgia and Ohio State. The Buckeyes are making their fourth straight appearance in the top five of our preseason FBS rankings.

Our experts seem have given Wisconsin a greater boost than some others, placing the Badgers in the No. 5 spot to open the season, but otherwise, the top of the board falls in line with what we’ve seen from around the country. Boise State is our top Group of Five team in the preseason rankings at No. 21, joined by UCF at No. 23.

experts from CBS Sportsping to be involved again, when Rochdale provide the opposition at Old Trafford tonight (Wednesday) in the Carabao Cup.“It’s something I have worked for my whole life,” he explained to MUTV. “I really don’t want to just see myself as a young play and 247Sports contribute ballots each week, which are averaged together for our rankings. It’s where they finish the year that is of concern to Michigan fans heading into 2018.  A quick correction from our experts after confidence in the Seminoles faded throughout the season in 2017.  Our team appears pretty bullish on the Big 12 in general with TCU, Texas and West Virginia all joining Oklahoma in the top 20. The Longhorns were a top 40 team a year ago that played like a top 10 team at times, and the thinking here seems to be that the next step is coming for Tom Herman and the Longhorns.  A healthy Will Grier puts West Virginia back in the mix to challenge Oklahoma for the Big 12 title.  Any early movement in the rankings for the Gamecocks will be determined early by a Week 2 meeting with Georgia.  Like West Virginia, Oregon gets a boost from having its proven starting quarterback healthy again. The Ducks could be dangerous with Justin Herbert in 2018.  Jim McElwain’s midseason dismissal and the Gators’ late-season struggles had Florida’s ranking on a week-by-week slide well outelsea manager Frank Lampard was happy for Kepa Arrizabalaga after his re-introduction to the first-team. The Spaniard kept a clean sheet in Tuesday’s 2-0 win over Liverpool in the FA Cup fifth-round, in what was his first appearance in six matches.Laside the top 25. With Dan Mullen in place and several key offensive weapons back, things have been on the up for Florida since our last balloting for the CBS 129.

“Rocket is a young man who brings great speed and athleticism to the wide receiver position,” Wyoming coach Craig Bohl said in a statement. “He does a lot after the catch with the ball in his hands. That would become a common theme over the final two years of his career in South Bend, Indiana, as he returned three kicks and a punt for a score, while compiling another 2,580 yards from scrimmage as a running back and receiver. He finished second to Ty Detmer for the 1990 Heisman Trophy.

Rocket began his professional career in the CFL — choosing to sign a four-year deal (the richest in CFL or history at the time) with the Toronto Argonauts instead of becoming the expected No. 1 overall pick in the — but eventually played nine years in the NFL with the Raiders, Panthers and Cowboys.

Emotions run high during a football game, and given all that’s on the line in Atlanta on Monday night, it’s not surprising to see some players getting heated. Still, linebacker took things too far during the third quarter.
